The Frantics - Werewolf





Here is another great creepy surf style Halloween instrumental by the frantics. the guys were from Seattle from 56 to 66. This tunes creepy vibe is totally enhanced by the spoken word intro and werewolf howls! The kids love this one!

Jerry Miller and Bob Mosley of the Frantics would go on to form Moby Grape. One of the few S.F. bands that much over rated era that were any good (at least on their first album).

i always thought the frantics were the ventures but in the 80s i had them [the ventures] in my record shop in col springs and nokie told me they were a group that just happened to sound a lot like the ventures. notice the writing credits, "hodge" is on there, likely this was gary hodge of "not for love or money" fame. i wonder if gary was also a member of the frantics? anyway great stuff, ty very much --

i got this a couple years ago by Los Lobos, they were playing at a basement party in a chicago west side suburb when i was 15 (1960?)may still be online somewhere....
