Poobah - Rock City
Rock City from Ohio's Poobah, who gave us the 2 classic Hard Rocker LP's "Let Me In" from 1972 and "U.S. Rock" from 1976. The flip of this 45 is Bowleen which is on the '72 release let me in but i'm not sure this is actually from '72? Good timey hard rocker here and non LP cut. Featuring the guitar wizardry of Jim Gustafson. Enjoy

The Children - Evil Woman
The Children or Yesterday's Children as they are most know as, put out a killer hard rock masterpiece of an album on Map City in 1970. I have no idea why they are only "the children" on this 45 and at first i thought this might be a different version but after listening to the album again the seem to be the same? Anyone? This is a straight ripper!!!
Enjoy. I'm off to NYC to see David Gilmour at Madison Square Garden!

Lazy Sunday Mostly Hippie Mix #27 or #28....?
I've not done a mix in a good long while. About a year and a half i guess. Today's a lazy Sunday and the tunes are reflective of where my mind is at. I think this is about the 26th or 27th mix i've done, with varying degrees of success. I'm enjoying this one a great deal. Hope you do too. Extra credit (not redeemable for anything) for guessing the tracks. Enjoy and chill. Cheers! DD
Edit: An Anon guessed these tracks:
4 - Morning Glory: Even When I'm Up I'm Down.
5 - Marlin Greene:Fields Of Clover
7 - Guided By Voices: Lost In Spaces
8 - Guided By Voices: No Transmission
10 - The Phantom: Black Magic/White Magic and finally
11 - Dschinn: Smile Of The Devil.

Just Water - King Kong / Play It Loud
A recent pick up. Punky rock out of NYC. For dudes that wanted to "Play It Loud" it's pretty wimpy. Heh... "King Kong" is cool little tune that has a bit of a "stranded in the jungle" vibe.

Jerms - Good Feelin' Yea / Bald Headed Woman
Garage / frat rock from 1965 from "Jerms". Some fuzz guitars would have made this killer, but man, i love the artwork on the 45 labels and i only paid .99 cents for it. Deal. Love the organ on Bald Headed Woman. They were from Kansas?

The Corporation - I Want To Get Out Of My Grave
Groovy little uptempo garage/pop/psych nugget with nice fuzzy guitars and a smattering of heavy organ throughout.
Formed in Milwaukee in 1968 at Cudahy's Galaxy Club where the Kondos brothers joined up with members of an outfit called Eastern Mean Time. Some months later they were heard by Capitol reps at another club The Bastille, which the band had bought into.
With a contract for an album the band journeyed to Detroit to record at Terra Shirma studios with producer John Rhys. Released in February 1969, the LP is notable for the side-long psychedelic rework of John Coltrane's India. All tracks on side one were group compositions. It was successful in several regions (No. 3 in Milwaukee) but only rose to No. 197 in the national charts.
The group made more recordings but a deal for a second Capitol album fell through and this material was eventually spread across two LPs released by the band on Age Of Aquarius, a Cuca custom label (Fuzz, Acid & Flowers).
