The Devil's Music: Devil Dick Mix Vol. 8 - Instrumental Jams

Just a little something i threw together out of sheer boredom while thumbing through some boxes of "junk" 45's... Jam this loud over the weekend for maximum effect, preferably with copious amounts of yer fave adult beverages and birds of a feather...

Enjoy!

2. Tobin Matthews - Leatherjacket Cowboy
3. Link Wray - Turnpike U.S.A.
4. The Routers - Let's Go
5. Curly & the Jades - Bullfighter
6. Preston Epps - Bongola
7. Bill Blacks Combo - Do It - Rat Now
8. Johnny & the Hurricanes - Beatnik Fly
9. B. Bumble & the Stingers - Mashed #5

That was quite a groovy mix there. But I have to say that the Link Wray tune you presented is actually "Turnpike USA." Your 45 must have had the labels reversed if it is indeed on a 45.

And yes, that Johnny and the Hurricanes song IS "Beatnik Fly." "Red River Rock" is an entirely different song.

Brian, thnx for the clarification on that, of course my Link Wray is a 45, we only do vinyl over here so myabe my labes are reversed and the Johnny & the cains does say Beatlik Fly but for soem reason in my mind i thought it was Red River Rock and the labels might have been wrong but alas it was the Link 45 was that screwed up...

DK, thnx but that cover art was "lifted" from the free web i mere;y added the very rudimentary devil dick BS via paint.... i have no photoshop or design skill....

thanks as always guys for checking in. I've not been able to really make the rounds these days so i hope all is well in teh blog world...?

cheers!

Great mix. Can't remember which song, but one of the tracks on here definitely gave birth to the Ramones. Hey, Ho, Let's Go!
