Kill City - Secret Smile - Beggin For More - Cancer of the Mind
Kill City was an LA punk & rock band that consisted of members of The leaving Trains (Tom Hofer) The Web (T. A. Black & Andi Hayes) & Brad Holtzman (Darb) from The Need.
Their only single on Dionysus is a nice rocking slab of female fronted rock punk that splits hairs with X (Billy Zoom guitars) & The Stooges w/ a lil' dirty sounding Blondie thrown in....
Love the cover, and the cool color vinyl made this 99 cent addition well worth it....

Angel - Good Time Fanny - Who D'Ya Think Your Fooling

Glam-rock band Angel, was a concept from Andy Scott and Mick Tucker from Sweet. The band was formed in 1974 from the members of Pebbles, at a time when bands such as Slade, Sweet, Mud and Suzi Quatro were dominating the European charts.
The band members were:
Brian Johnson: (Lead Vocals)
Joe Ryan: (Guitar)
Martin Kemp: (Bass)
Steve Rickard: (Drums)
Bob Banasiak.: (Guitar, Bob replaced Joe in August 1974)
Can you say Glam Rock Boy Band....??? Still a fun little record. But I'd rather go put some Sweet any day....

Lemming - Lucifera - I Feel Free

Slightly sinister glam rock by Dutch band "Lemmings"...
The Lemming (formerly known as Lemming and before that as Life Color), a Dutch hard rock band between 1973 and 1975 scored three hits in the Dutch Top 40 .
The original lineup of Lemming in 1973 consisted of lead singer Wally Lock (stage name: Wally McKey), guitarist Hans Vos and Harry Bout , bassist Tinny Durrell and drummer Tony Gloudie . Proposal was the band The Lemming to mention, but for the word "The" was under Willem van Kooten then to old-fashioned. In 2002 the band was re-established. Of the original members were there only Wally Lock and Tony Gloudie in the new band.
I'm going to post their first 3 singles. This is the first.

Cough Suppressant Alcoholics - Metal Is Not Dead - The Tab At The Liquor Store Is Evergrowing - Cunt Suppository Aeronautics

Mash up Flipper, The Butthole Surfers, Highly potent THC and Brown Acid in a musical blender and you might get close to what this loser of a record sounds like. Obviously recorded by a metal reject in his moms basement, one can only wonder what actually happened to The Cough Suppressant Alcoholics.....? My guess is, probably living in Canaduh....
In 20 years people might discover how awesome this peice of shit is, but for now no one but me gives a rats ass....

Wan Santo Condo - I Wish I Was A Drug - A Hole

Wan Santo Condo from Austin, texas. Like Mother Love Bone or Rein Sanction before them, the hard rock quartet burned out before they could fade away.
— official bio —
If Freddy Mercury was straight and sang for Led Zeppelin
If Robert Plant moved to Seattle
If Texas had no cowboys
Then Wan Santo Condo
If a quartet was an orchestra
And the conducter on Lithium
Then Wan Santo Condo
Bob Via sings beautifully, passionately
Jason Mozersky doesn't weave or bob as
much as melodically lick it to death
The bass and drums ?
Peanut butter and jelly
Aaron Herbster
Steven Sanders
Their very own Simonon/Bonham duo
And so with all due respect to everyone
involved in referential rock poetry type bios...
I knew and know nothing about this band and bought this for the drug reference.... but hey, it aint half bad...

Steel Pole Bathtub - Voodoo Chile - Arizona Garbage Truck

Steel Pole Bathtub w/ a great noisy take on the Hendrix classic and an equally noisy flip. I always liked these guys w/ their wild brand of post punk grungy psychedlic rock and samples galore. I was lucky enough to catch them here on the East Coast back around the time Lurch came out. Still even have my Lurch T-shirt.... Although it seems to have gotten smaller over time..... I still need a copy of Tulip on vinyl. Anyone?

You can check out their website HERE:
In the meantime, here is the Steel Pole Bathtub Wiki:
Steel Pole Bath Tub was a hardcore punk/noise rock band, formed in 1986 in Bozeman, Montana by Mike Morasky (guitar/vocals) and Dale Flattum (bass/vocals).
Morasky and Flattum moved the band to Seattle, Washington where Darren Mor-X (drums) joined the band, before they all moved to San Francisco, California.[when?] The band became known for their chaotic, noisy style and frequent use of television and movie samples, with several 7" singles and albums on Boner Records, before being signed to Slash Records and releasing their major label debut in 1995. Their signing to Slash was part of a mid-1990s free-for-all signing bonanza of alternative rock bands, particularly bands from the Northwestern United States in the wake of the surprising commercial success Geffen Records had with Nirvana, many of which ended in creative and ownership conflicts. Steel Pole Bath Tub and Slash's relationship was no different. The only album they ever released on Slash contained very few samples, which had previously been a staple of the band, at the insistence of Slash's legal department. The band hoped their second album for Slash would be a cover of The Cars' first album in its entirety, but the label would not allow that idea and then deemed the demos the band submitted (which contained three Cars covers) unlistenable and refused to release them. The band wouldn't release any more significant material until the rights to the music they recorded for Slash would revert to them 2002. In 2002, the band released those recordings as the album "Unlistenable", the title a play on a Slash executives comments on the material and reformed to play the Beyond the Pale festival at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco in November 2002, where they co-headlined with Neurosis and Tarantula Hawk.[1] They reunited to play a show at the Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, Oregon on September 4, 2008 as a part of MusicFestNW.
The group's song "Train to Miami," from the album The Miracle of Sound in Motion, was featured in a November 2008 television ad for the PC and Xbox 360 game, Left 4 Dead.[2] Mike Morasky is also responsible for writing and performing the songs by the fictional band Midnight Riders in the game's sequel, Left 4 Dead 2.
Darren Mor-X
Side projects
The band joined with Jello Biafra to form the group Tumor Circus, releasing a self-titled album in 1991.
Milk Cult, with Morasky and Flattum (and sound man Eric Holland) using the names The Bumblebee and C.C. Nova, released 4 albums between 1992 and 2000. Their last album, Project M13, was the result of an invitation from the French Government to be guests of the La Friche Art Collective in Marseille.[3]
Dale Flattum
Novex, a Dale Flattum and Darren Mor-X project, recorded with Vern and Justin at the Unwound farm, released as Kleptophonica (2002).[4]
Pink Teeth, a project including Dale Flattum and Zak Sally of Low

Le Face - Boys & Girls - Dancing In Anxiety - Pull My Trigger

Its nice to know that people are still making fucked up music in this day and age when almost everything sucks coperate MTV cock. This is one of the better new punk bands i have heard recently but I know nothing about this band, i hear rumors of being banned from bars across LA which is fine with me. Their brand of snotty post punk noise sits fine in my ears. and any band that can sneak a swastika and a star of david on their 45 label is ok w/ me. Couple that with cool swirl vinyl, hand silk screened cover and a limited release of 150, and the fact that i only paid 2 dollars for this, i'm all in... Anyone know anything about these people?

Adrenalin O.D. - Sentimental Abuse

Today i realized that i just don't do enough punk rock and hardcore posts so today two of my fave NJ HC bands together at last...! heh. A.O.D.'s Wacky Hijinx is a top 10 HC album for me. The only NJ album that rates higher is Mental Abuse Street's Of Filth. I was lucky enough to see and play with both bands a bunch of times back in the day. Did any band ever play as much as AOD? Man, those were fun times, young and dumb and full of cum... So here on this little ep from 1996 we have AOD doing a cover of the Mental Abuse classic Sock Woman!!! As well as a few re-workings of some classic AOD stuff. AS only AOD can do. Both bands are playing again and even tho Mental Abuse is a far different band than they were back then it was still fun seeing them. I still have not been able to catch AOD as of yet. DAMN IT! being a grown up sucks sometimes.... The only question left to answer is: IS SID SLUDGE ALIVE OR DEAD???

The Space Negros - Go to Russia...

This is a weird one... Starting with the name and ending with the music.... I mean "Space Negros"...? and the music sounds like twisted TV theme show music from a bad dream or nightmare. Even their take on the Beatles is a little unsettling. ART rock, or no wave, or post punk or whatever it is you wanna call just call it odd. Someone called it an exploration of exotic music and rock. I guess that works too...
All i could come up with in my 2 second search of the webs is that Erik Lindgren seems to be the main cat in this odd mess and he runs the label this was put out on, Arf! Arf! records.
Erik Lindgren (15 December 1954) is an American composer and keyboards player. He runs Arf! Arf! Records, and has led (or been a member of) several ensembles such as The Moving Parts, The Space Negros, The Rising Storm, and Birdsongs of the Mesozoic.
Lindgren was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in December 1954.[1] He attended Northfield Mount Hermon School from 1969–1972, and received his BA in Music from Tufts University in 1976 where he worked with T. J. Anderson. In 1974–75 he spent his junior year abroad in London studying composition at the Guildhall School of Music with Alfred Nieman and piano with Birgette Wild. Lindgren received an MA in music composition and piano performance from the University of Iowa in 1977 where he studied with Donald Jenni, Richard Hervig and Peter Lewis.
As a contemporary classical composer, Lindgren has a catalog of over five dozen works, ranging from solo piano pieces to chamber music to orchestral works. He also owns Foot Foot Music BMI which publishes all of his original compositions. In 1978, Lindgren established Sounds Interesting Productions, a commercial recording studio and music production company based in Cambridge, MA.[1] In 1998, he relocated his facility to Middleborough, MA. National and regional credits include original scores for ABC, NBC CBS and PBS, Eastpak, Boston Globe, Basketball Hall Of Fame, Jordan Marsh, Polaroid, Prentice Hall and the Christmas Tree Shops. Lindgren also markets The Well-Tempered Music Library that consists of seven CDs of stock commercial music that he composed and produced.
Lindgren was a founding member of the new music ensemble Birdsongs Of The Mesozoic that Billboard Magazine described as “a mesmerizing venture into the space age jungle.” The quartet has toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada and held residencies at Dartmouth College, Emory University, Duke, UNCA and the Massachusetts College of Art. Birdsongs’ has recorded for the Rykodisc, Cuneiform and Ace of Hearts labels and released an album in 2005. Recently the group collaborated with Duplex Planet editor/National Public Radio correspondent David Greenberger on 1001 Real Apes.
The composer celebrated his 50th Birthday performing live, original works, at The Longy School of Music, Pickman Hall, Cambridge, MA (June 4, 2005).
For over twenty years, Lindgren has run the Arf! Arf! record label which has released five-dozen archival CDs documenting ’60s Garage/Psychedelic Rock and “Incredibly Strange Music.” Arf! Arf! issued four CD retrospectives by his ’80s experimental studio group The Space Negros. Lindgren has also produced over one hundred records for such diverse artists as Willie Loco Alexander, the Rising Storm, The Turbines, The Cynics, Magic Mose & his Royal Rockers, featuring 'Blind Sam,' Ed “Moose” Savage And His Litany Of Complaints, and harmonica virtuoso Richard Hunter.
