Well, ya stumped me, Dick. The growling lead singer early on sounded vaguely familiar, Behind The Green Door is some British pop band, the rest, i dunno. Songs from Roger Corman hippie movies?

first track is Rapunzel - Mornin' Sunrise which still seems to have eluded compilation makers somehow.
Later on there is Sultana by Titanic - and I can't wait to find out about that "come on in" track about halfway through!

There is a great documentary on the commune / cult run by the rock band Rapunzel (aka Spirit in Flesh) called "Free Spirits" - good stuff.
Thanks for the post.

TITANIC came from Norway. "Sultana" was a Top-3-hit in the UK in summer 1971.

I know it's not this song but I swear it is a direct copy with some lyrical changes. Denomination Blues.

That sped up instrumental sounds familiar. Aaargghh ... it's somewhere on your blog. The first songs are new to me. Will listen to the rest tomorrow.

Dying to know what song the line "I get so high, each time that you walk by" is in. It's a killer tune.

May you burn in hell (just being polite)

I filled in a blank, but I'm not gonna tell you yet, you wandering Devil king.

First I want you to reveal one song, more particularly the song I mentioned in my previous post.

Is this blackmail? No, quid pro quo, doctor Lecter. Read the file, agent Starling, all the clues are there.

Devil Dick said...

ha! thats not how this works JiM!? some things are best left UNKNOWN!....!??

Anonymous said...

It was worth the try ...

Last song is The Alexander Rabbit.

Devil Dick said...

ah JiM you've been such a good sport that maybe if you can guess one more i'll give it to you?!?!???????

Anonymous said...

I suggest you post this game again. After all, this one is more than one year old. Not all newcomers to your blog are gonna dig as deep as I did.

JiM

Devil Dick said...

people who don't dig deep don't deserve it!!! ha! thats the super rad elitist record buttlock in me! but yeah i tried to re-post some old mixes just a few weeks ago and no one played..... :(
