Well, ya stumped me, Dick. The growling lead singer early on sounded vaguely familiar, Behind The Green Door is some British pop band, the rest, i dunno. Songs from Roger Corman hippie movies?
Second song is Cat Woman by Abaco Dream....good stuff
The second song is Abaco Dream's "Cat Woman". That's as far as I've gotten. Will check out more, later.
awesome! at least a few folks tried! and yep, 2nd song is abacos dream cat woman! i will post the scan asap!
first track is Rapunzel - Mornin' Sunrise which still seems to have eluded compilation makers somehow.
Later on there is Sultana by Titanic - and I can't wait to find out about that "come on in" track about halfway through!
well played doctor gaz!
abaco is sly stone. awesome song.
Cat wOMAN IS THE FLIP OF LIFe AND DEATH IN G & A by Abaco Dream and is actuually Sly & The Family Stone
the song I wish to identify has the lyric "come with me" actually, will you give us the full rundown eventually? ....please
hmmmm, i'm not sure doc. i might....
funny thing is i actually thought that song would be the 1st one someone knew....
There is a great documentary on the commune / cult run by the rock band Rapunzel (aka Spirit in Flesh) called "Free Spirits" - good stuff.
Thanks for the post.
TITANIC came from Norway. "Sultana" was a Top-3-hit in the UK in summer 1971.
i'm glad folks are still leaving some comments but no guesses and tunes???
:(
did I hear Gypsy?
a good guess but gypsy is not on here but i can see why you might think that!
Thanks Frank!
is behind the green door "the Jerms"?
you got it frank!!
this is fun.
I got some old mono and stereo songs grabbed off KSHE in the late 60's early 70's that are unk artist. Interested in giving them a listen and see who they are?
can't promise i will know anything but i am always willing to try Frank!!!
Therapy:Most Peculiar?
I listened and listened then realized "I think I have this album."
I forgot to leave my name with the Therapy comment.
Thanks for everything,
Frank
you got the song title correct but it is not therapy frank!
been holding back on these to see if anyone else guessed. But being from st louis one is very familiar with the following two songs. Fever Tree: come with me and Jonathan Round: sympathy for the devil. Both still get played a couple times a month on a local station KSHE during the Sunday morning classics show.(CHECK IT OUT. COOL STUFF)
looks like you and i are the only ones playing frank... But thanks!!! you got them! scans posted!
cool that stations are still playing some cool stuff like that!
must suggest you check them out on line. can see their playlist and listen KSHE 95 sunday mornings 8-12 noon. Also KDHX 89.1 on friday 5-7 am. Great show there as well
Well I don't know any singer or band , where you keep getting them i don't know , but i shore keep listing to the fantastic music you share with us.So thanks once more for the great recent stuff you post Dick . Greetings from Belgium ;-)

I know it's not this song but I swear it is a direct copy with some lyrical changes. Denomination Blues.
That sped up instrumental sounds familiar. Aaargghh ... it's somewhere on your blog. The first songs are new to me. Will listen to the rest tomorrow.
Dying to know what song the line "I get so high, each time that you walk by" is in. It's a killer tune.
May you burn in hell (just being polite)
JiM (Belgium)
I filled in a blank, but I'm not gonna tell you yet, you wandering Devil king.
First I want you to reveal one song, more particularly the song I mentioned in my previous post.
Is this blackmail? No, quid pro quo, doctor Lecter. Read the file, agent Starling, all the clues are there.
JiM (Belgium)
ha! thats not how this works JiM!? some things are best left UNKNOWN!....!??
It was worth the try ...
Last song is The Alexander Rabbit.
ah JiM you've been such a good sport that maybe if you can guess one more i'll give it to you?!?!???????
I suggest you post this game again. After all, this one is more than one year old. Not all newcomers to your blog are gonna dig as deep as I did.
JiM
people who don't dig deep don't deserve it!!! ha! thats the super rad elitist record buttlock in me! but yeah i tried to re-post some old mixes just a few weeks ago and no one played..... :(
Track 8:Starship - Crown Of Creation
Track 13:Gypsy - Gypsy Queen
Still struggling with the others but we never give up (well almost never..)
