Marching Plague - Rock 'N' Roll Asshole E.P. - 1983





Going to stick with the hardcore punk and give you the rock and roll asshole EP from Marching Plague. This is also from 1983 and like the Child Abuse 7inch below is a fast blast of goofy sloppy snotty punk/hardcore. These guys were from Texas. And this has one of my fave punk rock album covers. Awesome....

I was lucky enough to be in the Austin underground scene frm 1981-1984. I got to see these guys and their shows were as fun as the music.

Punk bands from those days were hardly ever recorded well. Too thin sounding and doesn't transfer the powerful wallop they had.

Got a tape of them live at San Antonio's late and much-lamented TacoLand. It's the last show w/ original singer Keith. Recorded by the same guy who drew that 45 sleeve-cover.

There's another studio recording they did. It's never been released. Who knows if it ever will...
