The Kruisers - C'Mon Sweet Baby / Karen

A side is a pretty crude riff on Bo Diddley.... I read somewhere that someone called it "punk". I wouldn't go that far but teenage ineptness comes to mind, which is fine by me. I LOVE that sort of thing. Couple kids in the garage that stole a few of Dad's Pabst Blue Ribbons and cranking up their Sears Silvertone guitars and amps and going for it. It's a cool piece of Low-Fi Funk from 1972. It actually sounds like it might have been recorded on a boom box. It's pretty damned cool.

2 dudes, Dave Dreiwitz, (Bass) & Scott Byrne, (Drums) Just Bass & Drums and a touch of Cagean Electronics. Wow!

1st off i have to thank my man Mullet over @ Cosmic Doom.com for the turn on to this amazing masterpeice i am about to unfold into yer lap today. I had never heard of this record or band for that matter until he dropped the knowledge on me so thanks my man!

Not much i could dig up on "The Fuckin' Flyin' A-Heads" but what i can gather from the insert is that they were from Honolulu, Hawaii, which to me makes it even the more weird, but that's just me thinking that Hawaii couldn't possibly be as caught up with the times when this was recorded and was recorded live Jan 25, 1980 so i couldn't be more wrong. This was released on Otaro records and states to be played at HIGH VOLUME!! Screw Limitations!!! Screw limitations indeed!!!

The musicians consisted of:

Howard Nishioka - Guitar & Vocals, Eric "Sep" Ishii - Vocals, Pranks, and Dan Garrett - Drums, Bob wilson - Bass.

Behjan Mirhadi apparently wrote an Ugly Things article about them in issue 19 but i do not own nor can i find the article....
