Pittsburg northern soul from 1964.

The song "let me love you" by George Goodman and the Headliners has a long history of being re-released and times out at 2:57. However, the haunting instrumental backup was actually taken from an obscure 1963 Pittsburgh record, a duet by Gene & Jeanne on the Bobby label that times out at only 2:09. The basic instrumental track from Gene & Jeanne disc was recycled and extended for the various George Goodman releases. To see the Gene & Jeanne label -- send email to: dgmennie@aol.com
