The Devils Music - Devils Dick Mix Vol. 19 - Rainy Day Rock Mix

Seems like it's been rainy for a year straight. It kinda sucks. I can't even clean up the dog shit in the yard. I grabbed a bunch or records while cleaning up because there aint much else to do when its raining. I drank a few beers and a few glasses of wine and put vinyl to digital. if you like it leave a comment or tell me who the artists are....? If not, i don't care much.... I'm drunk.... Once again and as always all cuts taken from glorious original vinyl...

tracks guessed so far:

#1 - Paris - Black Book

#3 - Nazareth - You're The Violin

#4 - Brewer & Shipley - Sleeping On The Way

#5 - The Savage Rose - Long Before I Was Born

#6 - Focus - I Need A Bathroom

#7 - Mott The Hoople - Threads of Iron

#11 - John Cale - Gun

#14 - Black Oak Arkansas - Race With The Devil

#15 - Kink s - Yes Sir No Sir

Glad you're drunk, it's good to get stoned with the great Paris screaming for a black book, or Dan Mc Cafferty singin' about a violin, good memories to me, peace

Hot damn! Kicking off with Paris's "Black Book" is a nice treat! I bought that album unheard when I was 13 or 14 based on the cool band logo (and having read somewhere that they were hard rockers). Still can't believe the swill Bob Welch went on to produce, but I guess Paris didn't pay the bills.

Lessee . . . the songs between that and John Cale's badass "Gun" are pretty kickin', but I don't think I could identify any of 'em.

Next one I recognize (sorta) is "Race with the Devil." Not sure who's doing it, though, 'cause the only version I've heard is Judas Priest's rather than the original by Gun. Sounds kinda like Arthur Brown singing this one. Clever segue from Cale, nonetheless. :D

Sounds like The Kinks after that, but my knowledge of them is shockingly insufficient (i.e., it's not on the one album I have).

Don't recognize that last one, either.

I'm feelin' pretty shamed . . . :(

Everyone knows that Paris huh? i dig them 2 records. and yep, preetty obvious on the John Cale but man that song just rules.... and you sorta got the race w/ th edevil but it is not Arthur Brown..... and yes that is the Kinks!!! Yes Sir No Sir is the track.... I'll post the songs you all guessed in the post.

Found another one:

Track 6 = Focus : I Need A Bathroom (1975)

They're Dutch, not Danish. Big difference! My mother tongue is Dutch, and I have no clue what Danish people are talking about.

Track 6 = Mott The Hoople : Threads of Iron

Too lazy to look up the exact year.

That's Black Oak Arkansas covering Race with the devil. Should have guessed that, guys!

Why did I discover this blog only last week? I love this kind of games!
