Da - Dark Rooms / White Castles
DA (sometimes printed as "DA!") was an early entry into Chicago's punk scene. The mostly female group differed from their contemporaries, sporting a moody art-punk sound instead of the more formulaic hardcore style that other Chicago bands were converging on at the time. The band issued one 7" single, one 12" EP and appeared on the "Busted At OZ" compilation. They split in 1982.

Works now. Thanks again.
Thanks! I had both 7" rips, but my drive crashed a couple years back and I've been trying to recover some of the things I'm now missing. Personally a UK fan, but after watching "You Weren't There (Chicago Punk)" I had to check this lot out and wish they had a proper reissue (besides the "Exclamation Point" LP). Cheers, M.
