The Wheels - My Hearts Desire - Let's Have A Ball

Ok, if you read the post below then you know what this 45 is all about...

check 1:17 & 2:10:

this is the 45 that cemented our friendship....

This is the last shot i took of the old man... He was most likely talking smack about egg beard.... RIP buddy. I guess i'll never find out what girlie covers and 45's you were holding for me when i showed up that Friday morning and you said you didn't bring my stuff because i never show up on a Friday....

it dawns on me that i don't think i've ever heard a doo-wop song before where they actually sang "doo-wop" in the song, maybe i'm crazy, anyway, great record!

I had a few folks like that in my life. One was just like you make Old Man Mike sound like...a flea market based vinyl seller of incredible selection. He used to go to all the record shows even when they became more of the DVD and memorabilia type. He died of a heart attack filling his trunk with records. That's how I want to go, doing something that I love. Thanks for sharing your story.

I'm sorry your pal is gone. That's a special bond when you find someone who not only understands the fun of discovering 45s, but one who actually has some personal memories about the records. Old Man Mike sounds like an important part of your life, and My Hearts Desire is a great, funky soundtrack for that tender story.
