The Eagles - Stalactite
No not those "Eagles"... This is a British group from 1963 and this rules.
This is my favorite record at the moment.
Very Moonterkkers like w/ a Joe Meek vibe.
I needed this.
a few corrections/additions from some Termbo peeps:
the band real name was les Aiglons (the baby eagles), from Lausanne, Switzerland.
The funny thing is that the band leader, Leon Francioli, is since years a world-wide famous jazz musician... that don't wanna hear from the Aiglons stuff again.

Besides these guys, is there really another band called The Eagles?
you scared me
Don't suppose you could find and post Dave Peel - Wax Museum from 1969-71? I found it online once and made an mp3, but lost it when the hardrive failed.
Yep, they're Swiss. But there's another very charming version of the instro, which was a massive continental hit, by Monique & Les Tridents 1966 on the German CCA-label. You'll probably find it in one of those "Heimatliche Klaenge" comps on allmusic-wingsofdream.blogspot.com
To Jon: Yes! There is an even earlier Eagles from the early 50's. They are Great! They're song "Trying To Get To You" was covered by Elvis.
amazing. Once again you're going in deep.
Hey DD, you mentioned Joe Meek. Have you seen the movie 'Telstar - The Joe Meek Story'? Made in the UK 2006. Great bio-pic. Check it out. Best of luck with the car-in-house shitfight...
Hey Anonymous, No, i have not seen that movie yet but it is now on my radar! thanks for the heads up and for the wishes!
Cheers!
