When I was 15, I was at a record/bookstore at a mall in (Don't Go Back To) Rockville, MD. In the import section, they had a copy of the original German pressing of Nektar's Recycled album. I asked my mom if I could borrow a few $$ so I could buy it. She looked at me, and said in a very loud voice (everyone in the store turned and looked), "You're like an alcoholic!!" I was mortified.
On the other hand, she did loan me the money to get it, and I still own it.
